![]() so much nostlagia and childhood memories if you haven't seen the og series i suggest you go watch it since it was the start of one of the biggest anime series aside from pokemon and Dragon Ball. Dubbed is hilarious because of how many times Syrus breaks the fourth wall and some of the jokes they crack. *shudders* still gives me nightmares just thinking about it) Jaden for the most part was really one-dimensional until season 4 when it gets super dark and edgy so much that if i recall correctly they didn't dub that season or season 5ĭub or Subbed: In my opinion you should watch the sub for the awesome voice acting and theme songs they made for the series. It took the creators far too long for the plot to get way better (2 whole seasons imo since Society of Light. Nearly half of the first season was just one-shot episodes that didn't really contribute to the plot much aside from a few good episodes like Jaden vs Zane or Jaden vs Chazz in the School Duel. Majority of the series was quite childish and inconsistent - don't get me wrong i liked the fact that they tried aiming GX at a younger audience with the whole school setting but it just felt a bit too childish if that makes sense, especially in the dub. I feel like had jaden not had all the series focus being on him and more character development was used for other characters like Syrus and Alexis then i reckon GX would have been better than the next series on this list. Jaden/Judai takes up far too much of the spotlight away from other characters like Alexis Rhodes/Asuka Tenjoin, Bastion and even his own buddy Syrus. god i hate talking about the negative side of GX. I still have soft spot in my heart for Elemental HEROes and Destiny HEROes They take most of what was great about the og Duel Monsters and made it better, more effect monsters were introduced and more fusions too. Personal recommendations would be: Jaden/Judai vs Zane Truesdale/Kaiser Ryo Graduation Match, Jaden vs Bastion Misawa where they determine who'd represent DA against North Academy, Jaden vs Chazz Princeton/Jun Manjoume School Duel and Syrus Truesdale (i forget his subbed name sorry, it's something Ryo) vs Dark Zane/Hell Kaiser Ryo (when he uses his Cyberdark cards) & Zane (using a mix of cyberdark and og cyber dragon related cards) vs Jesse Anderson/Johan Anderson Some of the duels they have are just plain awesome. Wacky humour and okay character development in the main protagonist Jaden/Judai Yuki I like the setting of gx being in a school that focuses on dueling just hilarious to see that, kinda makes me wish such a thing was real well imma go with the pros first since i always like to start with something positive. Again this list will rank the anime series from worst to best, giving out pros and cons of each series as well as my preference on whether you should watch the dub version or subbed version. I would love to hear what y'all think as well, i like seeing interaction in a community. Anyways i saw this one dude rank all the anime from least favourite to most favourite so i figured i might as well do my own list considering i have watched every single series and continuing to watch VRAINS since it's ongoing at the time of this writing. just remember these are MY opinions so please just respect them and i shall respect yours. _-).In advance i wanna apologise to you all: primarily for the large amount of text you will hate having to read through but also what i say in this discussion may trigger some of you. It was the duel where Yuya "Got his groove back" (until the show's creators made him lose it again. It was the first duel to show the full power of Pendulum monsters and Yuya dueling with complete confidence since other people started Pendulum summoning. My ABSOLUTE favorite duel was Jack Atlas vs Yuya, Round 2. That being said, my favorite duel from your list is Sora vs Kurosaki, for the reasons you listed above. Dennis had the confidence in dueling for fun, and showed what Yuya should have become, minus the working for the bad guys part. This is why I WANTED Yuya to be my favorite character, but Dennis was, second place of course goes to Sora and all his raging glory. You had a wonderful concept for a coming-of-age story, but the show wasted Yuya's potential by constantly making him suffer from Uncertain Protagonist Syndrome, right until the very end. I just don't get why the show barely gave him a chance to shine. He just wasn't fighting "to save the world" but truly had an idea he believed in: to make the world a happier place through dueling. Out of all the Yugioh protagonists, I liked what Yuya stood for the most.
